The 2021 Georgia Bat Working Group Bat Blitz will be held October 14th – 17th, 2021 at Crooked River State Park, St. Mary’s, Georgia.
There will be Mist Netting Surveys on Thurs, Friday and Saturday Evening and a Public Program at the Park likely on Saturday Evening including a DNR Presentation, DNR Mist-Netting Demo and Anabat Walkabout demo. We will be looking for mist netting team leaders and participants with bat handling experience to help throughout the event.
During the event Group Shelter # 1 will be used for meetings and any group meals. The Pioneer Camp is available for FREE CAMPING for participants. Anyone who would prefer a regular campsite or a cabin should reserve early to guarantee a space. Park reservations can be made beginning 13 months in advance of the event.
The blitz will be held October 14th – 17th, 2021 and the headquarters will be at Crooked River State Park, St. Mary’s, Georgia.
